St Luke’s Hospice were delighted to be involved in Jathra Indian Restaurant’s Charity Curry Night on Tuesday 13th September, altogether raising an amazing £1513.70 for patient care.
The Northwich based Indian is re-opening its doors after a period of refurbishment and decided to celebrate the occasion by holding four different charity nights for four local charities, St Luke’s being one of those chosen.
Jathra’s Marketing & Operations Manager, Steph Hutchinson, said: ‘It was important to us that we worked with local charities where the funds raised would go back into the local area. I have been blown away by the money raised this week by the charities and for myself and the team at Jathra that is the best reward. This is just the beginning for us and we are excited to see what 2023 brings!”
The night proved to be a fantastic success for the Hospice and was well attended by those in the local community, with St Luke’s Community Team even providing a raffle which helped contribute to the total donations.
St Luke’s Community Partnerships Fundraiser, Mandy Shaw, said: “It was a great night for the Hospice full of great food and we’d like to thank the staff, owner and everyone who donated at Jathra for supporting St Luke’s. Your donations will help to continue the care and support of patients and their families here at the Hospice.”
Jathra have now announced that St Luke’s Hospice will be one of their charity partners going into 2023.
