Christmas at Burland Hall – Thursday

Celebrate in style at the beautiful Burland Hall and enjoy unique Christmas crafting workshops in a truly luxurious setting.

Join us for a truly luxurious Christmas experience. Your day begins with a warm welcome to Burland Hall, with refreshments, before immersing yourself in a festive craft workshop. The afternoon continues with more creative workshop fun before the day concludes with exclusive Christmas pop-up shops.

Choose to take part in one of three festive workshops:

• Chocolate & Truffles 

Join a bespoke workshop for just 8 people. A demonstration followed by a hands on experience. The kitchen will be chocolate cool and just a little messy - so make sure to bring a jumper and an apron!

Go home with a boxful of goodies!

• Willow Wreath Twisting & Christmas Decorations

Make an ever lasting wreath and decorate in your own style either minimal and natural or all out bling. This event for just 8 of you will be held in the outside workshop so gardening gloves, aprons and warm clothing including hats and thick sole boots will be advisable if the weather is very cold. Each person will need a pair of secateurs, scissors and protective gloves

Go home with a Christmas wreath and other willow decorations.

• Peg Loom Weaving and associated crafts

Try out this ancient but simple art of weaving. You’ll be using wools and other textiles to create a fabulous and personal set of Christmas table mats or a table runner to take home. As there will only be 10 of you, you will get an opportunity to spin and ply your own wool that can be incorporated into your design. Bring a pair of scissors and lots of ideas.

We welcome all levels of experience from beginners to enthusiasts. Our workshop leaders are all experienced enthusiasts that are passionate about their craft.

Please be aware places are limited per workshop, be quick to secure your space on your chosen craft.

The day will  give you the opportunity to learn a new craft and take home your wonderful creations.

Itinerary

9:30am - Arrival with a warm welcoming drink and light bite.

10:00am - Immerse yourself in your chosen workshop.

11:00am  -  Coffee will be served

12:30pm -  Delicious lunch in the Dining Room

 1:15pm  -  Continue with the workshop

 2.15pm -  Refreshments

3.30pm - You'll finish the workshop but have chance to browse the pop up shops and show off your creations.

Please note, pop up shops will be available throughout the day.

Gardens will be open to explore if weather permitting.
