Take part in the first ever Salt Line Cycle Ride!

Presented by Cliff Dickenson & Son working with and in support of St Luke's Cheshire Hospice.

Join us on Sunday 29th September for our iconic Salt Line Cycle Ride! This exciting event is perfect for cyclists of all ages and abilities.

Enjoy a well-organised event with everything you need for a smooth ride, it is set to be a fun-packed day with professional cycle ride amenities.

Get into gear and set your fundraising wheels in motion for a great cause. Get ready to pedal for a purpose and enjoy a memorable day out with all proceeds going to St Luke's to support local patient care.

Choose Your Route

Whether you're a family looking for a fun day out, an intermediate cyclist seeking a mid-level challenge, or an experienced rider ready to push your limits, we have the perfect route for you. Please note a small part of the 10 mile route through Moulton is on rougher but official cycle paths where participants should ride to the conditions, this area is limited to just over a mile:

50-Mile Classic Challenge Cycle Ride through the beautiful landscapes of Cheshire. Ideal for experienced riders. View the route by clicking here.

Distance: 50 miles Route: Intermediate challenge with picturesque views

10-Mile Fun Cycle Ideal for families or those less experienced cyclists, this cycle ride will start at the Cliff Dickenson & Son and takes safe routes around the local area. This route is a mixture of country lanes and cycle paths, incorporating the Whitegate Way which is off road. There are small elements of stony and uneven ground for approx. 1 mile. What Time is the Ride?

The start window will be between 8am and 9am. All rides start from Cliff Dickenson & Son. All riders must have completed their routes by 4pm.

What's included?

A professionally supported event in conjunction with Andy Cook Cycling includes;

  • Pre-Event Pack
  • Regular drink / rest stops - Water tap and refreshment stations will be available on the classic and epic challenge routes

When you have finished your ride, you will receive a challenge medal and a well deserved drink and a delicious home-made sausage roll!

Who Can Register?

Everyone is welcome and this is a great event for all the family as well as advanced cyclists. Everyone taking part should be an independent cyclist - no baby seats or trailers.

How Much is Registration?

10-Mile - £17.50 per adult / £10 per child for the first 50 places (the price will then increase to £20 per adult / £12.50 per child)

50-Mile - £25 per adult for the first 50 places (the price will then increase to £32.50)

75-Mile - £30 per adult for the first 50 places (the price will then increase to £37.50)

Cycle Jersey

You can purchase an EXCLUSIVE Salt Line Cycle Jersey, which is available to pre-order for £35.00 up until 10th August. A great way to show your support out on the road during the event and after. The jersey is a fully branded and fully zipped professional cycle jersey, we think they are fantastic.

As an added bonus, raise or donate over £100 by the 10th August and you can apply to have a full refund for the cost of your pre-ordered cycle jersey! (Jersey must be purchased at registration to qualify for this refund.)

JustGiving

Fundraising is a vital part of the viability of the event and we hope you will be proud to take on a fundraising challenge to support the Hospice. Setting up a JustGiving page is simple and easy to do and is the best way to raise money quickly by sharing with your friends and family. You can set up your page  here .

Raising just £31.04 will pay for an hours nursing care at the Hospice. However if you prefer, you can make a donation in lieu of any fundraising, you can do so at the point of signing up. Thank you for your support!
