Take On A Challenge

Forthcoming challenges

Do it with us!

We have a catalogue of brilliant challenges to suit all types of people, whether you are wanting to cycle, row, run, jump or trek.

You may opt for a challenge in the UK – such as a sky-dive, wing walk, abseil or an epic outdoor ‘survival’ challenge. Or you might prefer something with an international flavour, such as trekking the Sahara or cycling to Paris!

Not all challenges are available all of the time – check out our latest availability here and for all forthcoming challenges, call Debra in our Events team on 01606 555685.

Take on a challenge

Do it your own way!

We are seeing a rise in the number of local businesses that want to do a challenge that is personal to staff members or has a special tie-in with the business.

For example, staff at Crewe-based 1825 Financial decided to take on a sponsored walk of precisely 18.25 miles and a team of keen cyclists from Tata Chemicals spent a weekend riding the Cheshire canal ring.

Build up a bond

So why bother to take on a challenge?

Great for team building – it often sounds like a cliché, but it really does work! A golden opportunity for colleagues to get together and build up a bond, which in turn is good for morale and creating a ‘one team’ mentality. After all, in most busy day-to-day working environments there’s never enough time to kick back and spend time with workmates, which makes our challenges perfect.

Great PR for your business – telling the story of what you are doing and why you are doing it (for St Luke’s!) can give you some great social media and web content and there’s a chance that traditional press (newspapers, radio) might pick up on it too. Make it colourful, fun and bring it to life, with your brand ‘front and centre’.

We’ll support you all the way – as a local charity, we’re able to stay in touch with you throughout your challenge journey. Whether it’s tips on fundraising, designing posters or sorting you out with St Luke’s t-shirts or collection buckets, we are only ever a phone call or email away!
