Local workers put best foot forward for St Luke’s Hospice

St Luke’s Hospice are delighted to announce that Advanced Medical Solutions have agreed to support The Midnight Walk as exclusive sponsor for the 5th successive year.

The Winsford-based business, which specialises in designing and manufacturing medical and surgical equipment, is proud to be partnering with St Luke’s once again as Chief Executive Chris Meredith explains. “The reason Advanced Medical Solutions choose to sponsor the Midnight Walk is because St Luke’s is a local charity which is very close to the hearts of many people. It is such a special event, which provides fond, long-lasting memories for all those that take part and I would urge everyone to sign up.”

As in previous years, scores of AMS staff will be volunteering their services on the night, by helping with registrations, marshalling the 10 mile route, looking after the face-painting and providing entertainment. Many will also be joining the hundreds of other local people by taking to the streets of South Cheshire for the walk itself.

Andy Bailey, Corporate Partnerships Manager at St Luke’s, is thrilled that AMS are on board once again, “The team from AMS bring so much energy and enthusiasm to the Midnight Walk and are involved in the planning from the very start. All the staff live within the ‘St Luke’s area’, so they really appreciate the care and support that the Hospice provides to local people and their families.”

This year’s Midnight Walk is being done with the theme of ‘Walk the Night for our Nurses’, in honour of a new service being introduced at the Hospice. The Community Night Care service will offer support to patients and carers in their own homes, in addition to our Inpatient Unit at the Hospice.
