St Luke’s at Seventy Two charity shop reopens in Winsford

A charity shop supporting the vital care work at St Luke’s Hospice has reopened after a complete makeover.
The shop, which has been renovated and rebranded as ‘St Luke’s at Seventy Two’, reopened in Delamere Street, Winsford, on Saturday, March 15.
Featuring a wide selection of women’s, men’s, and children’s high street fashion items, as well as the occasional designer gem, the hospice hopes the shop will become a go-to destination for those looking to unearth preloved treasures.
Feedback for the shop has already been very positive, which has delighted shop manager Laura Carroll.
She said: “We have been overwhelmed by the reaction from customers, old and new, since we reopened. The shop really does look so inviting, fresh and modern with something for everyone.
“The emphasis on sustainability makes it the perfect place for conscious shoppers looking to reduce their environmental impact without compromising on style or quality, and all for a good price.
“Not forgetting that every penny raised will support vital patient care at the hospice in the heart of Winsford.
“We are so grateful to our dedicated volunteers who have worked tirelessly alongside us to get the shop ready for the opening day.
“It really has been a fantastic team effort. Thanks also go to our wonderful community in Winsford for their continued support of the hospice.”
The shop also boasts a homeware section, with furniture sales now focussed at St Luke’s Hospice Furniture Warehouse in the Winsford Industrial Estate.
One of the first customers through the door was Sally Mansell, from Northwich, who paid a visit on opening day with her mum, Jean Pine.

She said: “Everything was clean and bright. All of the goods were placed in colour schemes and sections which made it easier to look through, and the whole shop felt like a boutique.
“It was filled with clothing, toys, homewares, jewellery and gifts and so much more.
“The staff were all so happy and friendly and went out of their way to help us, they made us feel very welcome. I will definitely be going back.”
St Luke’s at Seventy Two is open Monday to Saturday from 9am to 4pm.
