Where Moments Count – Margaret’s Story

Margaret from Winsford has been receiving complementary therapies at the Hospice following surgery for oral cancer.

She underwent a series of operations, including removing part of her jaw, spending 7 weeks in hospital followed by 6 weeks of radiotherapy. She now describes St Luke’s as her “safe place” as we support her in her recovery.

Margaret explains: “I really look forward to visiting St Luke’s. The complementary therapy I’ve received here has made a huge difference. I come away from it feeling very relaxed. It’s brought my positivity back and I’m starting to feel a lot better in myself.

“I view St Luke’s as a safe haven, it’s all encompassing. What I like about coming here is it’s not just the therapy, it’s the people. You can talk to them about anything, and they know exactly what you’re going through.”
